""VINTAGE MILITARY SERVICE RIFLE MATCH" - Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Vermilion Gun Club Gun Range.
Registrations are now open for this match so if you are interested in participating act fast to reserve a spot as the match is restricted to a maximum of 24 shooters.
This Vintage Military Service Rifle match is a friendly competition in which shooters use only "as-issued" bolt action vintage military rifles such as the Lee Enfield No.1, No.4 or No,5, Mausers (K98, M48, Swedish M38 or M96), K11 or K31, Mosin Nagant, Carcano, 1903 Springfield and others. One of the key factors in the rifle is that it must be in "as-issued" condition, meaning it can have no modifications intended to make it more accurate such as telescopic sights or aperture target sights. However, rifles that have sporterized stocks with as-issued iron sights are allowed.
